2 nights, 3 days at milford sound lodge

2 nights shared all-female lodging in a luxury chalet at Milford Sound Lodge located in Milford Sound, New Zealand. Each chalet sleeps 4 (2 twins & 1 super king bed) and includes a living area, bathroom, and kitchenette. Breakfasts provided by Milford Sound Lodge is included as well.

PRIVATE CHARTERED CRUISE THROUGH MILFORD SOUND

We will be photographing 1 of our adventure elopements and 1 of our adventure casual couples sessions during our private chartered cruise through Milford Sound. We will have the entire boat to ourselves as we explore & photograph. We’ll sail the length of the 16km fiord, out past St Annes Point Lighthouse, with informative commentary from our skipper who will highlight points of interest along the way including the mighty Lady Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock and Stirling Falls. We will see towering peaks, sheer cliffs, cascading waterfalls and lush rainforest. Feel the spray of Fairy Falls and listen to the sound of nature thriving in its habitat. We will keep an eye out for seals basking in the sun, pods of dolphins, or Fiordland Crested Penguins that can be found seasonally within the region.

6 Shoots: 3 realistic adventure elopements / 3 adventure couple sessions

We will be exploring 3 different locations with 3 couples, each couple featuring a realistic "all-day" adventure elopement and adventure session as a day before/day after elopement casual shoot. Each elopement will be a realistic "all-day" adventure elopement: meaning we will incorporate all of the unique events & fully styled details as you would find in a real adventure elopement. Think along the lines of: helping each other get ready in the chalet in front of the mountains, vows on the deck of the cruise by a towering waterfall, waving at the local penguins and seals from the deck of the boat, hiking through the mountains, stopping by a brewery for a celebratory beer in the local harbor town, dancing their first dance in front of a campfire under the stars... and so much more. You'll have the most epic, unique & realistic elopement galleries that feature both elopement-day activities and being able to sell the idea of doing 2-day elopements in both wedding & casual attire. You'll walk away with REAL galleries - featuring so much more than just portraits.

bonus - group coaching / q&A

We will spend our "down-time" during the first evening to have a casual group coaching session and any q&a's. We will go over actionable sales & marketing methods that you can implement into your own elopement business.

INFORMATIONAL PACKET & VIP ATTENDEE GROUP

You'll receive a digital informational packet including all of the details (and more) about what we have planned for the retreat & the area we're going to. This will include: Our retreat itinerary, local vendor information, recommendations for travel + local restaurants, packing list geared for our anticipated weather, and fun things to do in the area beyond the retreat.

There will also be a VIP attendee group that you will be invited to. This can be to meet & greet everyone beforehand and ask any questions! Everyone is traveling in to this location and often plan to coordinate carpools to travel together! If you choose non-lodging, you are welcome to coordinate stays with others as well.

Networking & experience

You'll meet other photographers & vendors and build relationships with people in our industry. This is great for referrals, for learning more about how other photographers work, and to make some elopement-loving friends.

This locations will provide you the expertise to pass on to future clients. If you've never shot in New Zealand (and want to get more bookings here!), this retreat is your chance to build your knowledge. And with that knowledge comes even more marketability!
